Kim + Eric chose Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ for their engagement photography session because this location is very sentimental to them both. It was the exact location where Eric asked Kim to marry him. We even took some photos under the pier where Eric and Kim’s family were hiding and watching the entire time. I love that!
Here is their proposal story told by Kim…
“Eric and I met on July 7th and considered our “anniversary” to have been a few weeks later. Neither of us could ever remember the date of our anniversary, but we ALWAYS remembered July 7th as the day we met. 4 years later on July 7th, 2016… Eric convinced me into having dinner at McCloone’s in Pier Village. (Pier Village was the location of our first date. It was the area that I frequented throughout college and I felt I needed to show him the beauty of the area. We walked the boardwalk for 6 hours talking about anything and everything and eventually chased fireflies on the beach.) When I showed up after work, Eric wasn’t at the gazebo like he said. He was standing on the beach surrounded by rose petals. I walked down to meet him, he proposed, and I said yes! Everything is such a blur, from the random strangers watching and cheering on the boardwalk, to my entire family and closest friends running out from under the boardwalk. He had truly thought of everything and it was perfect. We never made it to McCloone’s for dinner, but we did manage to fit everyone in the pizza place for a slice and champagne!”
I think that is one of the sweetest proposals ever! Kim and Eric had an instant connection the day they met and today they love to sing karaoke, game nights with their friends, visiting their family, and (the best part) completing Escape Rooms throughout the NJ area. They are getting married at MariTime Parc in Jersey City and they are most excited to dance the night away. They love music and can’t wait to be the last ones on the dance floor! Limelight Entertainment was so happy to do Kim + Eric’s engagement photography.
