Dana + Mike’s Wedding at the Sterling Ballroom at the Double Tree

Dana and Mike had a nice, cool autumn day for their Sterling Ballroom wedding. I cannot say enough great things about this pair. They are so fun to be around and that goes for their friends and family too! It always makes my day when I have a great group of people that I get to hang with and capture moments of.

Dana prepped for the big day at her parent’s house along with her bridal party, her mom, Mike’s mom, and her dad. I loved grabbing a few shots of the girls in front of her dad’s bar. Dana had told me all about the parties that went on at her parent’s place and the bar was a must have shot for her getting ready. I was happy to snap this for her because it was the coolest looking bar. You could tell hat her dad put a lot of work into it.

We also made sure to take some bridal portraits in front of the garage/barn door. The door was a rustic wood and had two antler handles on the front. It was so cool!!

After some portraits it was time to hop in the trolley and head over to the park for Dana and Mike’s first look. Dana and Mike requested their first look to be at Allaire State Park. It was a slightly overcast Friday afternoon so the park was practically empty. We had the place to ourselves! The leaves on the trees were just starting to turn and add that pop of color.

Dana and Mike were so sweet. They had the most romantic first look. I absolutely loved the look on Mike’s face when he saw her for the first time. He was stunned at how gorgeous she looked in her Martina liana wedding gown from I Do I Do. And I don’t blame him because Dana looked amazing!

We had a ton of fun taking portraits in the park. Dana and Mike’s bridal party was so fun and easy to work with. The bridesmaids wore floor length burgundy dresses and clutched bouquets of white hydrangea.

We wrapped up photos at the park and all headed over to The Sterling Ballroom at the Double Tree. The ceremony took place right at sunset on their gorgeously landscaped terrace. I have to tell you how much I love this couple. They are so much fun and have so much fun with each other and it is so refreshing to see. They had many chuckles during their ceremony and guests were smiling from ear to ear.

Their recessional was the best!! The recessional is their walk back down the aisle, hand in hand, as husband and wife. I have to say I really LOVE when a couple is visibly excited about their exchange of vows and declaration of marriage. I love when their smiles stretch from ear to ear and you can see right on their faces that this is the best moment ever!!

Dana and Mike’s wedding reception immediately followed at The Sterling Ballroom with cocktail hour. They had mini cheeseburgers, a taco station, fried macaroni and cheese and everything else you can imagine. Limelight Entertainment provided a great mix of Billy Joel and smooth classics for their cocktail hour music. But once cocktail hour was over, it was very clear that it was time to kick it into gear and party.

DJ Chris Marino of Limelight Entertainment took care of keeping the party rocking and everyone having fun on the dance floor. Dana and Mike’s guests were ready to get crazy and dance the night away.

We snuck a few minutes to do their cake cutting and let me tell you about their cake! Their cake from Chocolate Carousel was funfetti cake with rainbow sprinkle tiers!

And after cake cutting Dana and Mike let me pull them outside for a quick nighttime photo. These two couldn’t stop giggling and smiling together. They are the best! And we wish them ALL the best! Congrats guys and thank you for letting us be such a huge part of your wedding. It was awesome!!
