When Kristen contacted me to photograph her wedding I was immediately excited!! Kristen is first cousins with one of my best friends from high school days and I was instantly excited to be a part of the whole wedding process. We immediately started planning her and John’s engagement session and I was so excited to hear that they wanted to shoot at the Biergarten in Asbury Park.
Kristen and John are into craft beers so they love going to the Beirgarten and going to new restaurants. So of course, we had to photograph their engagement photos in Asbury and make a stop at their favorite place to grab a beer.
We met up at Convention Hall and hit all the necessary spots before we headed over to the biergarten. We made sure to incorporate Kristen and John’s love of Disney with their Minnie and Goofy hats and Minnie and Mickey sneakers. Kristen even wore her Mickey earrings!
Kristen and John met in college. Kristen mentions, “We met our sophomore year of college. We were both in the band and had to take pictures from an upcoming concert. We were sitting across from each other and I told him he had nice eyes and the rest is history.” When John proposed he proposed at a tree farm and got Kristen’s entire family involved as well as his sister and mom.
Kristen and John are getting married next October at the English Manor and I am so excited to be able to photograph their special day for them!! Not only do I absolutely LOVE this couple but I adore their family and cannot wait to spend the day with everyone!!

We love bold colors, so I’m wearing purple and a nice comfy sweater for Fall and John is wearing a nice flannel pattern with blue and browns. Jeans to keep it casual and our favorite shoes to display our love of Disney!
