Erica and Chris requested Asbury Park as their backdrop for their engagement photos. This fun little music city by the sea means a lot to them. As we walked the boardwalk and stopped in front of the Stone Pony they mentioned the different shows they had seen there and talked about the different things they love to do when they visit.
We began our session by the colorful murals along the North end of Convention Hall. Being that it was Friday of Memorial Day weekend, there were quite a few beach goers and visitors walking the boards. But we found lots of great spots to stop for photo ops.
Erica was dressed in an ivory lace cocktail dress and complimented it with the most gorgeous pair of dusty blue strap heels. Chris was dressed in a similar blue button down short sleeve shirt, khaki shorts, and light gray Vans. These two looked amazing!!
After hitting all of the best spots along the boardwalk, Erica and Chris then took a stroll on the beach. The sky started to take on a beautiful pastel blue and pink color that looked amazing with their wardrobe.
We then stopped so that Erica and Chris could switch to their outfit change. I took some detail shots of Erica’s gorgeous engagement ring and the two swapped out their dressy look for some casual and fun photos.
Erica is a huge Beyonce fan and so when she came across Tees that read “Bonnie” “03” and “Clyde” “03” it was meant to be! We finished the engagement session with a rock n roll twist. The sunset was getting more vivid by the minute and made for the perfect backdrop to their final photos of the night. The lights of the boardwalk complimented it all and tells their story perfectly!
We cannot wait for Erica and Chris’s July wedding at McLoones in Long Branch.
