Colleen + John’s Winter Wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor

Colleen and John’s winter wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor was both romantic and cozy! It was a gorgeous January day for a winter-themed wedding, and the skies blessed us with snow! We had the unique opportunity to take Colleen and John out for some beautiful winter snowy portraits on the dock looking over the icy lake with the guest appearance of The Mill Lakeside Manor‘s very own swans… which love popcorn!

When we pulled up to bride prep, flying high over Colleen’s parents home was a wedding flag that read, “I DO!” Colleen’s girls were gushing over the special day while she was getting her hair done by the fabulous Renee of Pin It Up Bridal. She placed this cute hairpin from Sunshine Day Dream in Colleen’s hair that just sparkled. We started by photographing the wedding details. The rustic winter theme was the perfect fit for this wintery, snowy January day. The textured green hues, and the gorgeous gray and white accents complemented each other perfectly. Her beautiful, FULL bouquet was designed by Designs by Dara. The white roses with hints of greenery created a lovely contrast when the girls held them in their hands. Their wedding invitations done by Maclearie Printing, were gorgeous. The colors of the invitation matched Colleen’s velvet ring box, and her colorful green Nine West heels perfectly. Finishing up with her makeup, Make Me Up Eva’s team complimented all the girls’ features and were very attentive with getting all the girls looking and feeling gorgeous! 

Guess where John got ready… Engine 9 Belmar Fire Station!! John’s details matched perfectly with Colleen’s details. His greenish plaid tie looked so nifty with his black and white checkered suspenders and his grey Men’s Wearhouse tuxedo. We had a lot of fun at the firehouse photographing John and his eight guys, who took the time to help him get all dapper for the big day.

Arriving at The Mill Lakeside Manor, we were greeted by excellent staff ready to help out the couple and their bridal party. Colleen got into her dress at the bridal suite. Colleen’s mother and sister helped her slip into her form-fitted laced dress from Castle Couture that fit her effortlessly. She looked STUNNING! We set out into the room with the large fireplace to set up for their first look.

Colleen and John are the cutest, sweetest, and most down-to-earth couple. After their first look, we took a couple of bridal party portraits, some family formals, and then headed outside for some epic snow portraits. Now, time for the ceremony, and we had the honor of watching Colleen and John’s mashed potato commemoration!! The love-birds mix mashed potatoes as their coming together, as their family and loved ones, cheered and awed in the celebration of their marriage. They walked down the aisle hand-in-hand and kissed at the end of the aisle. After the ceremony, of course, it was time to party! Limelight Entertainment played the best party music as the couple, and their guests danced the night away.
