Christine and Mat’s October-Vibes Intimate Wedding Ceremony

Intimate Wedding Asbury Park

Christine and Mat’s Intimate Wedding Ceremony took place on Asbury Beach across from the famous Stone Pony (where the couple first met!!). With the sand on their feet and the ocean breeze in their hair, they tied the knot. They incorporated florals with October-Vibes, tons of fall colors, green fillers, and dried elements. Mat did a little DIY and built their arbor from scratch and giving it a dark wood stain. Chris Donofrio of Jersey Shore Florist provided two large flower arrangements secured onto the arbor, giving it a magical feel with the ocean directly in the background. The color-scheme captured the essence of the season. The idea of mixing dried flowers with dark living flowers gave off the perfect Fall feeling; it was fantastic! Everything was beautiful and inviting!

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

“Getting married on the beach in front of the venue that we first met. It was a magical moment that we will never forget.”

Christine and Mat’s wedding theme consisted of some witchy vibes, bringing in the moon phases, incense, candles, and crystals from Soulshine Crystals. These details created a very warm and inviting setting for their celebration. “Mixed with the flowers among the tables were some of our favorite crystals. With the crystals sparkling among the dried flowers, reflecting candles’ warmth, our tables were set perfectly to bring loving energy to every guest. Our wedding planner, Lizzy De La Pena of The Millenials Collective, created all of our table numbers using the moon phases. She also handcrafted all of our signage!” – Christine and Mat on their wedding details.

Did you personalize the day in any way? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

“In classic pandemic style, we customized face masks and hand sanitizer bottles. We also gifted bundles of sage, palo santo, and other incense for our guests to be able to do their own cleansing rituals at home.”

“The entire day was amazing, but some of my favorite parts were the ceremony on the beach, turning around to see all of our friends and family and the hundreds of people on the boardwalk watching (shocking that it was so busy on the boardwalk that day!!) with happiness on their faces for us, even with masks on. I also loved it when the Ocean Avenue Stompers came back and performed at our home for our friends and family. It was a surprise for everyone and really made it feel like a true party, even during a pandemic. “

Christine had on a BEAUTIFUL, unique, fitted dress by Rue De Seine from Lovely Bridal in New York City. Her hair was styled by Melanie, who tied her hair back in an almost messy low pony with a gorgeous detailed diamond hairpiece. Amy Malkoff kept Christine’s makeup natural with a beautiful pink shade nude lip. Christine’s girls were in long deep green dresses, everyone looked fantastic! Mat looked handsome in full black attire and very classic suede dress shoes. His boutonniere looked like a tiny bouquet that matched perfectly with the rest of the wedding florals. And he donned socks with their pups’ faces on them!!

“The day goes by fast, so take a moment to reflect and love every moment of it! Don’t stress the little things or even the big things; the day is about marrying the love of your life, and that’s it!” – advice from Christine and Mat to other couples who are planning their upcoming wedding day.
