It was a foggy evening in Asbury Park, NJ. Sara and Nick’s engagement photography was filled with lots of colors, smiles, laughter, and love. They chose Asbury Park for the simplicity of the beach and the unique architecture. We photographed on the boardwalk, in Convention Hall, on the lawn, and right on the beach. Sara mentioned their favorite date is walking around on the boardwalk, playing the game stands, and eating ice cream. Sara and Nick were so giddy with one another and it was not just because they brought a furry little friend.
Oh Callie! Callie is an important part of their life. She is their little fur-baby! Her sweet little face could win any heart over. With a love of finding things on Pinterest, Sara brought to the session a sign that read “Daddy asked and Mommy said yes” that Callie wore around her neck. The sign could not of been more perfect for this little family!
Sara was dressed in an blue floral print wrap dress that complimented her gorgeous red hair and light eyes. Nick was dressed in a light green button down short sleeve shirt, khaki shorts, and boat shoes. Callie wore a patterned leash that complimented her mother and father. How amazing did this group look!
Love stories are real! Sara was excited to share how the two met:
“My fiance and I both attended Mill Road Day Camp as kids. When we were 14 years old we were both in the counselor in training program. One day we went on a camp trip to the bowling alley. I was so excited with how good I bowled I went to tell a friend and Nick overheard and decided to tell me he bowled better than I had. We spent the rest of the summer together and on the last day of camp he asked me to go out on a date. On our first date Nick wore a Mets t-shirt to suck up to my dad (I guess it worked). We walked to a local pizza shop and then watched Marley and Me at his house. We went to different high schools, different colleges, and were thrown many obstacles along the way but we always managed to stay together. Our story started at only 14 years old but now we are 23, we live together in Delaware, have the cutest fur-baby Callie and we couldn’t be happier!”
Sara and Nick laughed and talked about their special day. True love spread across the couples faces as they gleamed with excitement talking about the wedding day. They both are extremely excited about the “big reveal.” They’re looking forward to their ceremony where they are going to read their own written vows. HOW CUTE! Their ideal wedding is going to be down-to-earth and very personal filled with love.
