Photography FAQs

  • How long have you been shooting weddings / how many did you shoot?

    • Collectively we have been photographing weddings for 6 years plus and shoot on average 30 weddings per year as a company. We are a dedicated team of professionals offering a customer service experience above and beyond your expectations. To accomplish this goal we only take a limited number of weddings per year. We want you to know that you are not just a number and that your wedding is just as important to us as it is to you.
  • Will you visit our venue to familiarize yourself / scout out locations?

    • A true photography professional is able to find perfect light and to make every location look beautiful. Because the sun is constantly moving and light is different at any given time of day, it will be up to your professional to put you in the absolute best light possible on the wedding day. We can go and scout locations on a bright sunny day and then the day of could have some cloud coverage. OR vice versa. There are so many factors that play into obtaining great photos and it is up to your professional to be able to always put you in the best light to make you look the most radiant on your wedding day. If you prefer we scout locations, we absolutely will. However, we cannot guarantee that those locations will be used on the day of the wedding. We want to avoid lighting that causes shadows that look like bags under the eyes and light that makes the image look washed out or “muddy”. We want all of your photos to be bright, crisp, and vibrant and for you to look your absolute best!
  • Do you have free in person consultations?

    • YES! Our studio is located in Howell, NJ and you can come by anytime to meet. We actually strongly encourage you come down to the office. We love to connect with our couples!!
  • How would you describe your photography style?

    • Our style is bright, crisp, vibrant and true to color. We love to have fun with our couples and to showcase them being relaxed and themselves. We love natural smiles and laughs as well as romantic moments.
  • Would it be 1 photographer or 2 on the day of our wedding?

    • On the day of the wedding all our photo coverage includes a second photographer AND and assistant. So 3 people in total. This allows the day to run as smooth as possible and for you to get even more variety to your images.
  • Are Retouching, color adjustment, corrective services included?

    • All images delivered are edited to the Limelight style. Color correction is included but rarely necessary because we aim to shoot very clean and get it perfect in the camera. Retouching (light re-touching i.e. skin blemishes, air brushing, fly away hair edits) are only included in the album prints and in any prints ordered from us directly.
  • Can we order prints/albums direct from you?

    • YES! You have the ability to order prints in your personal online gallery. We also offer packages that include albums. Our albums are made in Italy and bound in Italian leather. They have an archival value of 200 years and will last for generations.
  • How long after wedding do we receive images?

    • 6-8 weeks Your wedding images are delivered within 6-8 weeks of the wedding date if not sooner.
  • How are they delivered?

    • They are delivered to you as soon as they are ready in an online gallery that never expires. You can download straight from this gallery and share it with friends and family. Your gallery comes with a mobile app for on the go and social media sharing. You also receive your images on a custom crystal USB with your names and the date engraved on it.
  • Can we request a list of specific shots we want?

    • You may request a list of shots and we often take any Pinterest inspiration from you and use it to create unique images of you and your fiancé. However, we suggest limiting requests to 5-10 images so that other moments are not missed. When your photographer is checking a long list of requests, candids may be missed.
  • Is there a discount for also booking a DJ?

    • We do have special offers for booking all 3 of our services. We would love for you to come into the studio to discuss all of our different package options.
  • Would the photos on the USB come without a watermark?

    • Yes. All photos delivered are delivered to you without a watermark. Of course, when posting on FB or any other social platform we do request that you give our photographers credit, however, it is not required.
  • How much would additional time cost if needed? Is that an option?

    • Yes, additional time is an option. We consider this an a la carte option where you can add time by the hour at a rate of $500 per hour. Although we fully understand that more time may not be contracted and may be necessary the day of, overtime rates (non contracted) are $600 per hour. These charges will only reflect a situation that is within reason. If the delay and overtime is due to the photographer, no overtime charges will be billed.
  • What type of camera do you use? Do you have backup equipment?

    • Equipment is full censored DSLR Canon cameras with L series lenses. We take our business, your wedding, and our profession very seriously. We always have backup equipment.
  • Can I give you a list of specific shots I’d like?

    • We always take your requests for shots and do our best to capture them in a way that is unique to you and your wedding. As long as requests are within reason we will do our best to make sure you get all of the shots you are looking for.
  • Do you have a backup plan in case you’re unable to shoot my wedding?

    • As stated, we take your wedding, our business, and our profession very seriously. We will be there! In the unlikely chance that there is an Act of God or something along those lines, our second photographer would move into lead photographer’s role and Limelight Entertainment will provide another second.
  • I’m planning 90 – 100 people at my wedding, would a 2nd photographer be needed?

    • A second photographer is always recommended and is included in all of our photography packages. A second photographer is able to get the images that the lead cannot get because they are capturing all the traditional moments. For example: a second photographer will be able to capture Grandma’s reaction to the bride dancing with her husband for the first time. The bridesmaids gushing over this moment. The guests laughing at the MOH, BM speeches. The back of your dress as you walk down the aisle. A second photographer also allows for photos of the gentlemen getting ready in their suite or prep place.
