Photography Frequently Asked Questions

Collectively our team has been photographing weddings for 10+ years and photograph an average of 40 weddings per year as a company. We are a dedicated team of professionals offering a customer service experience above and beyond your expectations. To accomplish this goal we take a limited number of weddings per year, per photographer. We want you to know that you are not just a number and that your wedding is just as important to us as it is to you.

Our style is bright, crisp, vibrant and true to color. We love to have fun with our couples and to showcase them being relaxed and themselves. We love natural smiles and laughs as well as romantic moments. Our style is bright and timeless because we want you to love your photos forever!

YES! We offer a unique 1:1 design opportunity for all of our clients.

At Limelight, we believe your photos deserve more than just a quick scroll on a phone or a forgotten link buried in your inbox.

We want you to reach for your album on the shelf, flip through its pages, and relive your day in a way that feels tangible and lasting. Whether it’s with your partner on an anniversary or with future generations gathered around, your memories are meant to be experienced, not tucked away in digital folders.

On the day of the wedding all our photo coverage includes a second photographer AND an assistant. So 3 people in total. This allows the day to run as smooth as possible and for you to get even more variety to your images.

All images delivered are edited to the Limelight style. Color adjustments, exposure adjustments, and straightening is included, however, we always aim to get it perfect in the camera. Retouching (light re-touching i.e. skin blemishes, air brushing, fly away hair edits) are offered at an additional cost and upon request only.

You’ll see your images for the very first time at your Photo Reveal appointment — a date night we’ll have pre-scheduled just for you.

This is one of the most exciting parts of the entire process. About 6 weeks after your wedding or session, you’ll cozy up at home, connect with our team on virtual call, and experience your photos in a beautiful storytelling slideshow. You’ll laugh, cry (probably), and relive the entire day from start to finish.

We’ll then walk you through a pre-designed album layout and explore ways to bring your images to life in print. It’s so much more than just clicking through a gallery! This is a fully guided, emotional, and personalized experience that we know you’ll remember just as much as the photos themselves.

Your wedding images are delivered to you at your photo reveal and album design appointment. All of our clients know the exact date they will get to see their wedding photos. You see, we want our couples to make viewing their wedding photos an event. Something to look forward to after the wedding hustle and bustle is over. We encourage our couples to plug their laptops to their TVs, order their FAVORITE take out dinner, pour a glass of wine, a cup of tea, snuggle on the couch and watch their wedding photos together. After you view the very best slideshow of your wedding photos you will then design your wedding album with one of our in house designers. After your album design is complete, you’ll receive it approximately 4-6 weeks later.

We carefully go through every photo taken on your wedding day and select the very best images — the ones that truly tell your story. On average, couples receive between 600-800 edited images, depending on the length of coverage and events of the day. We don’t include unedited or RAW files, since they’re an unfinished part of the creative process.

Part of hiring us is trusting our trained eye to deliver only the most meaningful, flattering, and well-composed images and videos from your day.

You may request a list of shots and we often take any Pinterest inspiration from you and use it to create unique images of you and your fiancé. However, we suggest limiting requests to 5-10 images so that other moments are not missed. When your photographer is checking a long list of requests, candids may be missed.

We have special offers for combining our services. We would love for you to come into the studio to discuss all of our different package options.

A true photography professional is able to find perfect light and to make every location look beautiful. Because the sun is constantly moving and the quality of light changes throughout the day, it will be up to your professional to put you in the absolute best light possible on the wedding day. We can scout locations on a cloudy day and then the day of the wedding could be super sunny. OR vice versa. There are many factors that play into obtaining great photos and it is up to your professional to be able to always put you in the best light possible. It is our goal to make you look the most radiant on your wedding day. If you prefer we scout locations, we absolutely will. However, we cannot guarantee that those locations will be used on the day of the wedding. Ultimately, we want all of your photos to be bright, crisp, and vibrant and for you to look your absolute best!

Yes. All photos delivered are delivered to you without a watermark. Of course, when posting on FB or any other social platform we do request that you give our photographers credit, however, it is not required.

Yes, additional time is an option. We consider this an a la carte option where you can add time by the hour at a rate of $500 per hour. Although we fully understand that more time may not be contracted and may be necessary the day of, overtime rates (non contracted) are $600 per hour. These charges will only reflect a situation that is within reason. If the delay and overtime is due to the photographer, no overtime charges will be billed.

Equipment is full censored DSLR or mirrorless cameras with art series lenses. We take our business, your wedding, and our profession very seriously. We always have backup equipment.

As stated, we take your wedding, our business, and our profession very seriously. We will be there! In the unlikely chance that there is an Act of God or something along those lines, our second photographer would move into lead photographer’s role and Limelight Entertainment will provide another second photographer.

A second photographer is always recommended and is included in all of our photography packages. A second photographer is able to get the images that the lead cannot get because they are capturing all the traditional moments. For example: a second photographer will be able to capture Grandma’s reaction to the bride dancing with her husband for the first time. The bridesmaids gushing over this moment. The guests laughing at the MOH, BM speeches. The back of your dress as you walk down the aisle. A second photographer also allows for photos of the gentlemen getting ready in their suite or prep place.

Yes. We have liability insurance and can provide you with a cover letter if your venue requires a copy.

After the wedding, you will attend your Photo Reveal and Album Design session. We begin with a design featuring our favorite moments from your day, and then we refine it together to ensure your album reflects what matters most to you.

Additional pages added during the reveal appointment are $100 per page.
