We celebrated Alyssa and Nicholas’ love at the beautiful Perona Farms over the summer. What a gorgeous day! This rustic venue is located in the serene countryside of Northern New Jersey. Our couple had their wedding ceremony in The Refinery at Perona Farms. The space was decorated with greenery hanging from the ceiling beams and light fixtures. This space was beautifully reimagined into an industrial-chic atmosphere with exposed brick, steel, and concrete finishings. Each table, including their sweetheart table, was designed with a clean, elegant, and rustic feel. Olivia of Olivia Floral Designs added orange and ivory-colored florals on the tables and greenery! Everything looked so beautiful and well put together!!
The girls got ready in the bridal suite at Perona Farms. We arrived at bride prep with Alyssa and her girls getting glammed up for the big day. With the biggest smile on her face, Alyssa welcomed us into her space, and we began photographing immediately. Their looks were made up by Erin of Beauty on Location NJ, who did a fabulous job emphasizing the girls’ features. They all went with a natural look, bold lashes, and rosy cheeks. Their hair was styled by Stephanie of Top Knots by Aimee, who did half-up, half-down, and bun styles on the girls with pieces framing their faces. Alyssa chose to have her hair pinned back in a low bun with a beaded hairpiece. My gosh! She looked soo pretty!!
Photographing the details was SO fun! Alyssa brought it all for us… two wedding invitation sets, jewelry, shoes, perfume, wedding rings, and flowers. All her details put together captured so nicely; the colors were everything! Her Maggio Sottero wedding dress was hung on a giant mirror illuminated by the window light. It was the perfect spot to put Alyssa in her dress! Of course, before getting Alyssa in her dress, we had to take photos of the girls to show off their cute rustic-colored getting-ready robes. They looked so pretty!! We absolutely loved the color-scheme Alyssa and Nicholas went with for their wedding day theme.
Nicholas was in his own getting-ready suite at Perona Farms. Looking handsome as ever, he styled his wedding look with black velvet shoes, a black bowtie, and a fancy watch. He had a navy tuxedo from TheBlackTux that complemented the colors of the bridesmaids’ rustic orange dresses. Before their first look, Alyssa wanted to share a special moment with her father which was so sweet. In her wedding attire, Alyssa’s dad saw his daughter dressed from head to toe. It was such a tear-jerker moment, and it was such a blessing to capture it for them. Immediately following her dad, Alyssa had her first look with Nicholas. She walked up to Nicholas and tapped him on the shoulder; when Nicholas turned around, he smiled from ear to ear and embraced his bride. Having a first look never fails! It only increases the number of portraits and gives you extra alone time before all the craziness begins.
The ceremony was very romantic and intimate. String lights dangled over the ceremony space. All the greenery and flowers designed by Olivia of Olivia Floral Designs were serene and pretty. All their loved ones cheered as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife! Locking hands, they walked down the aisle as their guests celebrated their union. Now it was time to party! Chris Camp of Limelight Entertainment got everyone out of their seats, dancing and partying. It was a lot of fun!!
