It was a warm evening in LBI when Kaitlyn and Matt had their engagement photography. Long Beach Island is one of Kaitlyn and Matt’s special places where they enjoy spending time with one another. Kaitlyn shared with us: “We love to go to the beach. That is definitely our #1 favorite thing to do together. We love to just sit in our chairs near the water, listen to the tides, soak up the sun, read, swim, and walk to the jetties. We have also had a very competitive career playing paddle ball together over the years at the shore.”
Aside from going down the shore, Kaitlyn and Matt mentioned their love of going to craft breweries and wineries with their dog and friends on the weekends. Whenever they travel, they always make sure to try a local brewery in the state they are in and add it to their ever growing list. They have currently been to 76 breweries together!!!
Kaitlyn and Matt met in elementary school and started dating in September 2006. Over the course of their relationship, they spent a lot of time on this beach. There are many significant points of interest that we just had to photograph! The lifeguard stand on the beach – Kaitlyn and Matt have a photo of themselves from 2008 sitting on top of one of the lifeguard stands, so of course we recreated this special moment for them. We stopped in an alley in Bay Village near Cool Beans Coffee, which was a familiar place for the pair, as they always ordered their favorite flavor of coffee: Hawaiian Surprise from Cool Beans. We went underneath the entrance to Fantasy Island – this is where they spent many rainy afternoons, playing inside the arcade. Who goes down the shore without taking pictures on the beach!? We photographed the beautiful couple on the beach and near the jetties. LBI is their happy place and they have 13 years [and counting] of memories here. Photographing Kaitlyn and Matt in their happy place was so much fun!!
