Alicia and Mike tied the knot at the beautiful Basking Ridge Country Club. This venue is so gorgeous with many places to capture beautiful photography. It was a sunny Saturday in early April when Alicia and Mike’s loved ones gathered about to spend this gorgeous celebration with them. We were SO excited to be a part of this special day! It was like yesterday when we met Arya, their fur baby, at their engagement session at Deep Cut Gardens. Well the big day finally came and we could not be more excited!!
We arrived to a smiley Alicia at bride prep. Psyched about the big day, Alicia and her girls laughed and joked amongst each other as they got all dressed up. Alicia had her hair and makeup done at DePasquale Spa. She went with a beautiful look that really complemented her features. My-oh-my she looked stunning! Alicia stepped into her Sophia Tolli corset back wedding gown from Castle Couture. She was ready to see her soon to be husband! But first Alicia wanted to have a first look with her father, which was one of our favorite moments of the day. First looks are one of the many sweet moments that happen on a wedding day. Not only is the first look a super sentimental moment, but it’s a quiet moment to have some private time with someone special on your wedding day. After Alicia’s first look with her father, it was time for Mike to see his beautiful bride-to-be for the first time and share their special moment together. *tears* Mike turned around and his jaw dropped… he could not take his eyes off of Alicia. She held on to her beautiful bouquet by Desiree Dean Designs as we photographed these two love birds. Alicia and Mike embraced and soaked in every ounce of love for each other. We love first looks because they not only allow for 40% more portrait time but they also allow for time to and still for a moment. On a day when time moves SO fast, it is nice to stop and savor the extra special moments.
“We are so excited about our outdoor ceremony at the Basking Ridge Country Club!” It was just the right amount of sun for Alicia and Mike’s ceremony and the view was phenomenal!!! What a sweet and loving ceremony officiated by Celia Milton. Alicia and Mike’s loved ones cried and cheered as they exchanged vows, had their first kiss, and walked down the aisle as husband and wife.
Alicia and Mike happily wed, were ready to dance the night away. Chris Marino of Limelight Entertainment got everyone moving out of their seats and on to the dance floor as he played all of Alicia and Mike’s favorite songs. Alicia, Mike, and their enjoyed some delicious sweets from Gourmet Touch Bakery. As the night came to an end, we took Alicia and Mike out to the grounds of Basking Ridge Country Club for some romantic nighttime portraits.
My favorite moments were the speeches. These were some of the most touching speeches we have ever heard!! I think everyone on the team had tears in their eyes and loved and appreciated Mike, Alicia, and their families even more after hearing what their loved ones had to say about them.
