Christina + Matt Engagement Engagement at Spring Lake, NJ

On a beautiful, but humid evening, Christina and Matt had their engagement session at Spring Lake with their adorable fur baby named Zoey. The lovely couple greeted us with friendly smiles all set and ready to be photographed. Adorable Zoey wore a lace pale pink bow around her neck, she looked rather stylish. For their formal outfits, Christina chose a light blue wrap floral dress and Matt wore light tan slacks and a complimentary button down shirt. They looked so stunning!

It was A LOT OF FUN using all the props Christina and Matt brought to their session, including a small bouquet of flowers and a sign. Zoey was such a peach posing for the camera and looking up at her mommy and daddy. With the help from Matt’s sister and Christina’s mom being at the session we were able to keep Zoey entertained enough for her to be the perfect model.

How did you and your fiancé meet?

“My fiancé and I met working at the Colts Neck Golf Club back in high school. After a few years of getting to know one another, we became close friends, and started dating shortly thereafter. Almost immediately after that, my fiancé left for the United States Coast Guard, and long story short, we realized even the distance couldn’t keep us apart! “

Later that evening the couple changed into a second look! Using my pop-up changing station, Christina put on a simple white sundress that had one off the shoulder sleeve and Matt wore shorts and a t-shirt. Still being very stylish, this look was more relaxed and comfortable. We ended up going on the boardwalk for a couple more fun shots and sunset photographs on the beach.

How did your fiancé propose?

“My fiancé proposed on the bridge in Spring Lake overlooking St. Catharine’s Church (my favorite place), only after sending me on a mini scavenger hunt, starting at our first home together just 3 days after closing! Proposing where he did was very special because St. Catharine’s has been my parish, as well as the church that we knew we would one day be married in. “

How precious and such a personal proposal Matt had done for Christina. They’re so in love and such a beautiful couple, it’s clear they are made for one another. They are really excited about their wedding day and cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives as husband and wife. They spoke a lot about their wedding and what they are excited about.

What is something that the two of you are most excited about for your special day?

“More than anything else, we are so excited for our first look at the Park Chateau! We will be spending all morning getting ready for that moment together, and to be able to share it privately, knowing that is truly the beginning of the rest of our lives, is just so special. ”
