When I first met Meaghan + Rich, I instantly loved them as a couple. I knew right away they would be a fun pair to work with on their engagement shoot and on their wedding day!
Meaghan + Rich met while working together during their high school/college years. They knew there was a spark there right from the start and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Rich put a lot of thought into his proposal and it sounds like it was super romantic! He took Meaghan on a journey through Central Park and then brought her out on a rowboat in the middle of the lake. This is where Rich popped the question! Immediately after Meaghan said YES, they sipped on champagne in the Central Park Boathouse.
When coming up with a location for their engagement shoot, they wanted to stick to the theme of their nautical wedding. They chose to shoot on the docks of a marina overlooking the Navesink River. They wanted rustic and nautical and the boathouse at the marina offered everything they were in search of for their engagement session.
Meaghan + Rich put a lot of thought into their wardrobe for their shoot. Meaghan was in the high-waisted navy and white striped shorts with a white lace tank, red boat shoes, and red accessories. And gorgeous red lipstick! She looked amazing! And Rich was dapper in red Bermuda shorts, a white button-down shirt embroidered with vintage ship wheels, and white Sperrys.
To their engagement shoot, they brought a bottle of champagne and sipped some on the bow of a friend’s sailboat. Into their engagement photos, they also incorporated a sign that read “Two less fish in the sea,” which they plan to use as their save the dates.
I love how much thought and planning Meaghan + Rich put into their engagement session. It was so fun capturing these images for them. Can’t wait for the wedding!!
