Meagan and Andrew had their wedding ceremony in their backyard with their closest family and friends attending. It was a beautiful clear sky June day when the couple said their I do’s. Meagan and Andrew decided to keep their original wedding date and have their closest family and friends witness their marriage.
Meagan’s beautiful white and green floral bouquet was designed on the day of her wedding by Neptune Florist! They did a fantastic job, the bouquet turned out so pretty. We took a couple romantic portraits after Meagan and Andrew got ready. Meagan had on a pretty lace white dress, and Andrew wore a grey button-down shirt. In her hair, Meagan had a flower crown that looked beautiful with her hair coming down over her shoulders. The girls in the wedding party wore black sundresses and the guys each had on Hawaiian button-down T-shirts. Being right by the beach, it was perfect to have the guys wearing Hawaiian button-down T-shirts. Everyone looked great!!
They went with a sand ceremony to symbolize two families coming together, which was lovely and sweet. While the ceremony was happening, they had a Livestream going for anyone not in attendance to view and join in on the celebration. Their wedding arbor was a complete DIY project! They built the piece, stained the wood, and then stapled eucalyptus and flowers they ordered off of Amazon. It turned out awesome and really brought together the ceremony space. After a couple words and exchanging of the rings, they said “I DO!” and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Hand-in-hand Meagan and Andrew walked down the aisle, smiling and receiving high fives from their guests.
After some socializing, we took Meagan and Andrew onto the beach for some “just married” portraits. They had a very chill evening with music, drinks, and plenty of food from their all-time favorite restaurant Federico’s. Meagan and Andrew had a delicious Carvel ice cream cake for their wedding cake, which was perfect for the sunny evening. How delicious!!
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
“Just do what you want! I think this whole COVID thing altering everyone’s plans has really put into perspective how to do a wedding. While I would still love to have what we had originally planned, and we still might, if I could do the whole thing over again, I would have just done it at home and did the big reception there with everyone we planned to invite. The most important thing is we are married, and we got to do it with those we love most. And nothing is wrong with doing it small or big or whatever you feel, its’ your day!!!”
