Sara and Chris’ Engagement Photography at Manasquan Reservoir

Sara and Chris had their engagement photography at the Manasquan Reservoir. Sara and Chris chose this location because it is where Chris proposed to Sara! We thought this was such a great idea for an engagement session location. We love when our couples choose a place that means something to them.

How did your fiancé propose?

“As we were walking one our dogs gave up and laid down in the water. I was beyond excited as neither of our dogs are particularly fond of getting wet. Chris said that he was going to give the other pup some water and handed me the water bowl to hold. He had placed the ring box Inside the water bowl. When I look back at him he was on one knee, said the most beautiful words and asked me to marry him.”

The Manasquan Reservoir is a beautiful location and has so many photo opportunities within the brush and pathways of the park. Walking around the trails, Sara and Chris shared with us their excitement about their upcoming wedding day! Chris told us that he is most excited to see his bride-to-be all dressed up in her wedding gown and Sara is most excited for their first dance together.

What do you and your fiancé like to do together?

“We are both very active people and enjoy the solitude of nature. We would much rather be hiking somewhere miles out of cell service range rather than going into the crowded city. A few of our first dates included skydiving and hiking up one of the Adirondack peaks in a snowstorm. Some things that we enjoy doing together include the shooting range, paddle boarding, back-packing, and walking the dogs.”
