Wedding at the Mainland, Manahawkin, NJ

Wedding Photography At The Mainland, Manahawkin, NJ

Dana and Tim tied the knot at The Mainland in Manahawkin, NJ. This venue has a very modern but rustic feel. A large gorgeous stone fireplace keeps things cozy and when lit, really sets the mood for the evening events.

“When I started wedding planning, I felt like I had some idea but no way to describe what I wanted. Rustic but soft and romantic – classic yet modern. I was all over the place! When we found our venue, I really loved the decor already in place, so I used that as my inspiration. It was a great space that incorporated everything I was looking for in one.” – Dana speaks on the venue

Dana was so excited! We arrived to bride prep to find her with the biggest smile on her face. Getting all dolled up by Beach House Spa with her hair and makeup, she was almost ready to see Tim for the first time that day. Effortlessly stunning, she had a natural makeup look, and her hair was loose over her shoulders. It was half pinned in the back by a sparkly barrette. Can we take a minute to talk about how elegant her Maggio Sottero wedding gown was? WOW!! She looked absolutely amazing in her dress.

“Trust your decisions and in each other. Everything will work out.” – wedding advice from Dana + Tim

Tim started his morning with his guys. Happiest as ever, he could not wait to see Dana for the first time that day. He put on his Men’s Wearhouse gray tuxedo and white details and headed out the door to get ready for their first look. When Tim and Dana were finished getting ready and all done up, it was time for their first look. WE LOVE A FIRST LOOK!! As soon as Tim turned around, you could tell this man was speechless! We are gushing over their first look pictures!! It was such a peaceful and romantic moment shared between them. Tim had his brothers in similar Men’s Wearhouse gray suits and navy details. Such a classic and clean look!! The bridesmaids wore beautiful navy floor-length Bill Levkoff dresses that looked amazing next to Tim’s brothers’ gray suits. Everyone looked so handsomely gorgeous!!

Let’s talk about the details!

Dana and Tim’s wedding details were so well planned and executed. Everything looked so soft and romantic with that bit of rustic modern feel. WE LOVED IT! “Lots of greenery and white, with touches of navy blue. Our venue space incorporated a lot of stone and natural woods, so I feel like we played into an ‘earthy tone’ aesthetic with the greenery and navy. We also had little white votive candles everywhere, and hanging string lights above gave the space a soft romantic feel. It was wonderful to see it all come together so well!”

What was the most anticipated moment of your wedding day?

“I was just excited to see everyone we love in one place. Tim and I dated for 7 years, and we would spend holidays with either my family or his, but rarely have both in one place. Then, especially being engaged during the pandemic, many of our celebrations were minimal. We dealt with it all and rolled with the punches, but I couldn’t wait to see everyone together and celebrating.” – said Dana.

Their florist, Forked River Florist, did a fantastic job with the bouquets and flowers. The attention to detail was unbelievable! Dana’s bouquet was absolutely breathtaking! Tim and Dana had special white roses in their florals to differentiate them and the wedding party. The florals were so big and full really made a statement when photographed. The rustic presentation they wanted for their wedding day was throughout The Mainland. Everything flowed nicely and complemented one another, from the architecture to the decorations. Their ceremony was lovely. The way Dana and Tim looked at one another made our hearts melt!! Their officiant, Paul Camuto, really customized their ceremony script and made it fit their needs and both of their own faiths. It was simply beautiful.

“Our venue had fire pits outside for our after party! It was perfect and totally our speed, rather than a continued party/bar atmosphere. We changed into comfy clothes and hung out with our friends and family around the fire pits until almost 3 am.” – Dana and Tim.

Congratulations, Dana and Tim! Thank you for choosing Limelight Entertainment to photograph and be a part of your wedding day!!
