Winter Wedding at the Mill Lakeside Manor

Bridget and Shane said “I DO” on a brisk February day at St. Denis Church of Douglas and later had their reception with their loved ones at The Mill Lakeside Manor. By the way, we love this venue! The panoramic views of the Old Mill Pond surrounding this venue create a romantic feel for a wedding.

We started our day with Bridget and her girls getting their hair and makeup done. Cassandra of White Opal Wedding had Bridget’s hair in a messy loose bun. Her makeup by Makeup by Janielle was neutral tones and a solid liner to create that pop with her eyes. Bridget’s Essense of Australia wedding dress she found at Hearts For You Bridal was a fitted lace with beading and a sweetheart top that fit her very nicely. Her bridesmaids wore floor-length blue dresses. Her fabulous Gammy had a unique royal blue bridesmaid’s dress adorned with blue lace. WE LOVED GAMMY!! The florals by Wall Flowers NJ were ivory and greenery, which nicely complemented the day’s atmosphere.

Shane wore a gray suit from Men’s Wearhouse with white details. His groomsmen wore matching gray suits with blue ties. Bridget and Shane decided not to go for a first look but instead have this moment at the church when she first walks down the aisle to meet Shane at the alter. He was speechless when he saw Bridget for the first time as the church doors opened, and she strolled down the aisle.

Proposal Story Alert!

“Shane proposed to me on October 19, 2019, on the beach in Manasquan. Back in high school, Shane had asked me to be his girlfriend on the beach, and we love spending time there, so it was very fitting for us to get engaged there. Later on that day, he surprised me with a surprise party at Boathouse in Belmar (our favorite bar) with all of our friends and family. It was a day full of surprises!”- Bridget shared.

Their church ceremony at St. Denis Church of Douglas was perfect. After they exchanged vows, I DO’s, and had their first kiss… it was time to head over to The Mill. We photographed Bridget and Shane’s just-married photographs on the dock overlooking the serene lake, outdoor ceremony area, and in front of the venue. Everything felt so romantic this time in February!!
