Summer Wedding at Porta in Asbury Park
Jaime and Rob hosted their wedding at Porta in Asbury Park. They shared: “We wanted our wedding to be timeless. An intimate setting with a small headcount, where the room could feel all of the love and gratitude Rob and I have for one another and our loved ones there to celebrate with us.” Their minimalistic modern vibe inspired them to compliment Porta’s eclectic style with colors they love. They used black and white with a touch of pale pink as their wedding color palette.
All flowers were kept within the same theme and designed by Flowers by Melinda. The bridal bouquet was white roses, greenery, and a touch of baby’s breath. The bridesmaid and groomsman’s bouquets and boutonnieres were baby’s breath with greenery.
Jaime and Rob’s first look could not have been more special. Their lead photographer Jackie from Limelight Entertainment, coordinated their wedding party to watch from the balcony of the Beach Bar in Asbury Park. With their loved ones watching from afar, Jaime and Rob saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.
Jackie’s thoughts: “I was so excited to have captured this moment with all of their favorite people in the background watching with tears in their eyes!”
The wedding space at Porta in Asbury Park, NJ was decorated to match Jaime and Rob’s color palette. The centerpieces designed by Flowers by Melinda were white roses with baby’s breath and a touch of greenery that sat on black gauze-style table runners. Surrounding the centerpieces were hurricane vases with black taper candles to accent the all-white florals. Jaime and Rob also had tiny disco ball ornaments at each place setting to play off of the disco balls inside of The Abbot Room at Porta. It was the perfect touch!!
They took photos on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ which was the perfect setting to go along with the theme of the wedding day. Fun and funky!!
Jaime DIYed the flowers that were placed in the trumpet vases on the bar and the dessert table. Those florals were also made up of a mixture of white flowers and greenery. Another DIY project was the welcome sign and the seating chart. Each of those were made on Zazzle, and the colors chosen were white, black, and pale pink.
“My wedding dress was not your typical “wedding gown.” It felt like art the second I put it on. I can still hear my mom gasping when I walked out with it on. From top to bottom, my dress was covered in a mix of white and iridescent sequins, beads, and floral appliques with a shear back and partial shear front. The underlay of my dress was blush to compliment all of the jewels. My shoes were nude, with a few rhinestones. I wore my hair in a high party pony with heavy face framing to show off the detail of the front and back of the dress. Rob’s look was timeless and classic – all black. I wanted him to stand out from the groomsmen, so I decided the all-black was a nice touch from wearing a white shirt like the other guys.” – Jaime spoke on their wedding day style.
“Be patient with one another, it’s a very stressful process. If something is important or special to you, book it. This is your day, together as one; if you are going to look back and regret not having it at your wedding and it’s something you can manage, make sure it’s there. Don’t let others dull the things that excite you. Not everyone will feel as excited over some details, and that’s okay; it’s about what makes the two of you happy. Schedule date nights to get away from planning and laugh A LOT; it will be worth it!!”
Our very own Chris Marino of Limelight Entertainment had them celebrating and dancing the night away with club hits and party classics. This group was so much fun out on the dance floor.
Thank you Jaime and Rob, for choosing Limelight Entertainment to be an essential part of your amazing wedding day at Porta!!! It was a blast celebrating with you two and your loved ones!
