We photographed Amanda and Ryan’s engagement photos at Deep Cut Gardens. This gorgeous 54-acre garden is a perfect location for engagement photography. We started the evening at Amanda’s parents’ home, photographing our couple and their super cute pup Winnie. She was decked out in an adorable bandana and flower collar.
Amanda and Ryan met in high school, through mutual friends. “We were good friends for a long time before we dated, and stayed together through college. We were able to grow through life together which has been really great.” For their engagement session, Amanda had on a navy blue wrap dress with floral print and she styled her hair in a messy updo. Ryan wore a classic button-down shirt with dress pants.
- What is your favorite thing about your significant other?
“My favorite thing about Ryan is the passion he has for the people he cares about in his life and for matters that he believes in. He’s always there for me no matter what and that’s meant something very special to me throughout our relationship.”
“My favorite thing about Amanda is how she’s so empathetic and is always there for me whatever the situation. Whether it’s talking about work, talking about emotional stuff, or not talking about anything and just being there for support, she always makes room for me to express what I need to. “
- What is something that the two of you are most excited about for your wedding day?
“We are most excited for having all of our friends and family together to celebrate our relationship, and most definitely excited for the donut tower we plan to have! “
- How did your fiancé propose?
“Ryan proposed at the top of a park in Montreal that overlooked the entire city. We had been going to Montreal for vacation for a few years and it became a tradition for us to explore the city and have that time for ourselves. After hiking all the way up to the overlook, Ryan asked someone to take pictures of us with the city in the backdrop, and before I knew it he was down on one knee proposing! I was so surprised I didn’t believe it at first, but it was so thoughtful, I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way. We got to celebrate that night with our annual fondue dinner!”
Congratulations, Amanda and Ryan on your engagement! It was a pleasure photographing you and your little fur-baby! We cannot wait to photograph your wedding at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in May 2021!!!
