Kate and Elliot had the most amazing outdoor wedding this past weekend! And literally almost everything there was handmade and DIY by the bride and groom and their family. This wedding was rich in details and every detail we saw was something that Elliot and Kate made themselves.
Their wedding was at Pat’s 30 Acres in Wall Township which is an outdoor facility available for weddings and events. Pat’s does all of the catering for the event and the food is awesome!
Kate and Elliot did not leave out a single detail. Their florals from Kirks Florist were absolutely stunning and they had fresh cut baby’s breath in white and lavender everywhere you looked. Kate and elliot’s ring bearers wore the cutest navy blue suspenders with rolled up beige dress pants and the cutest chucks you ever saw! Their flower girl wore a beautiful blush pink tutu which matched the the blush pink bridesmaids dresses. The groomsmen wore blue suits with floral bowties and pocket squares to match. Elliot even made his own LEGO cuff links! But Kate had gifted him a wood carved set with his monogram on them so he wore those the day of instead.
Their ceremony overlooked the lake on the property with a handmade arbor made of birch wood. As guests arrived to the ceremony they were greeted with a bucket of cold beers and two pitchers of sangria. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect!! Which we were all grateful for considering their were two tornados that had occurred that very same morning.
Elliot’s brother Nick was the reverend for their ceremony and he did such a fantastic job. Rev Nicholas Coates had everyone’s attention and everyone felt the connection between Elliot and Kate. I absolutely loved their ceremony!
After the ceremony we took tons of photos by the lake and down the trails that Pat’s 30 Acres has to offer. There were so many beautiful spots to take portraits and Kate and Elliot were willing to hang with me to get everything I envisioned.
Then it was time for the party! Their reception space was hand decorated by Kate and Elliot and their friends and family. Kate made all of the hanging floral wreaths and all of the centerpieces. The signs were cut, stained, and assembled by Elliot and then hand painted by Kate. Everywhere you turned there was something special that was DIY.
There were a lot of fun lawn games and things to do during the reception as well. They had corn hole and giant JENGA, ladder ball and a S’mores station! It was the perfect outdoor wedding setup.
Instead of cake, Kate and Elliot decided to do donuts from Purple Glaze in Asbury Park. Elliot’s father handmade the donut display towers and they fit perfectly within the theme and did a great job of showing off the amazing donuts.
Just before sunset Kate and Elliot snuck away with me for more portraits and these were so fun! I love the photo of them cheers-ing with their personalized wine glass. This was their favor given out to all of their guests.
Limelight Entertainment’s Photo Booth was on site to capture all of the silliness going on at the reception. Kate and elliot chose the white photo booth lounge with the red curtain doors. I love the white lounge because it looks so classy in any space.
The Joe Baracata Band provided a fun filled evening of music and they were awesome! They played everything you could imagine and had everyone sing/screaming at the top of their lungs. They even handed tambourines to Kate and Elliot and brought them up with the band to sing a few songs. Kate and Elliot danced the night away with all of their favorite people and I am so happy to have been there to capture it all for them.
Congratulations Kate and Elliot!! Thank you for having us there!
