Lauren and Will’s backyard wedding in Freehold, NJ, was very intimate and romantic. They personalized and decorated their backyard for their wedding ceremony and celebration. The look of the backyard set up was white decorations with plenty of greenery.
“This year’s wedding day looked a lot different than we planned! We had to postpone our big reception to next year but still have a special and intimate wedding ceremony day. The inspiration for our backyard wedding came from my husband’s brother, who helped lay out how the backyard would be set up and decorated! He did an amazing job. We were going for an all-white and green garden-y type of vibe and ended up added elements of pink in the flowers as well.”
Having a first look sets the tone of the day with some very romantic portraits when you see each other for the first time in your wedding attire. Oh, how we love capturing the first look! Their families gathered, excited to be able to witness the first look. Lauren tapped Will a few times and then he turned around. The look on Will’s face when he saw Lauren for the first time all dolled up was the sweetest sight to see. “Definitely a moment we will never forget!”
Lauren wore a very stunning white silk slip dress by Jenny Yoo and paired the look with dusty pink-colored heels with an adorable bow from Loeffer Randall. The jewelry Lauren had on was delicate and simple. The necklace she wore was borrowed from her Maid of Honor and her diamond headband was borrowed from her other Maid of Honor. Lauren looked beautiful with her hair curled over her shoulders. Will had on a navy blue patterned blazer that he paired with a white button-down, along with brown suede dress shoes, and tan dress pants.
What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
“Our favorite part of the wedding, which was a surprise to us, was a video compiled of 10-20 second videos that our closes friends, family, and family friends sent in! It made it feel like our closest people could be a part of our day, without actually being present due to COVID.”
The details of their wedding were very lovely! Lauren’s bridal bouquet was a perfect and beautiful combination of white roses, light pink roses, white hydrangeas, mixed with light greenery. The floral centerpieces followed this theme, which was all DIY. Lauren and her mother gathered these bunches of flowers with her mother’s friend’s help to curate into the perfect high/low centerpieces.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
“Let go of any stress and just let the day flow as it’s supposed to! Enjoy every second because it truly flies by.”
Lauren and Will’s ceremony was very beautiful and sweet. They incorporated a few bits of religious traditions into the ceremony. Rabbi Ross and Father Richard announced for them to kiss, and their family and friends cheered! Walking down the aisle now, husband and wife, they could not stop smiling. The celebration was filled with love, laughter, drinks, and dancing. Everyone had a great time celebrating with each other. Lauren and Will took a few moments to cut their cake off to the side. Their Alex’s Bake Shoppe cake was so fun with its colorful candies and details! After cutting the cake, they shared their first dance with their guests watching and swaying along. What an awesome day!!
Congratulations to the newlyweds Lauren and Will!! Thank you so much for choosing Limelight Entertainment to photograph your special wedding ceremony.
