We had the pleasure of capturing Kristi and Rich’s Belmar Beach engagement session! This beautiful couple met online back in December of 2017. While on vacation in Ithaca, New York, Rich proposed to Kristi on the porch of their Air BnB; while their song was playing, he got down on one knee, and the rest is history.
Leroy, a rescue from Peurto Rico, joined Kristi and Rich on the beach for their engagement session. He is the cutest and most loving pup! Leroy was such a good boy on their session and enjoyed the beach quite a lot! He just cannot wait ’til his mom and dad tie the knot!!
What do you like to do together?
“We like to craft, work on things around the house, go for bike rides, hang out with our dog and cat, and we love going to Yankee games. My favorite date night is going to one of the bars/restaurants near our house on the water and watching the sunset.” – Kristi and Rich
It was the perfect evening!! The sky looked absolutely amazing at Belmar Beach! When choosing a beach session, you definitely want to plan your outfits ahead of time… and Kristi and Rich did just that. When selecting your outfits for your beach session, consider all elements of the beach: wind, sand, and water. Patterns, layers, and flowy material are great for creating texture and movement in your photographs. Kristi wore an adorable pastel yellow printed beachy dress with dainty silver, gold, and yellow jewelry. Rich had on a patterned blue short-sleeved button-down and tan khakis. They looked amazing, and their outfits contrasted and complemented nicely with each other.
We LOVE photographing your details! So bring props and make your engagement photography your own, memorable, and unique. It’s always fun to do a champagne pop, photograph a DIY sign, or even bring some of your sporting gear! It is your session, so make it your own.

We headed to their first-ever date location at the end of their session! The Boathouse! It was so fun to capture some romantic photographs of these two lovebirds at the spot where it all started.
Congratulations to you Kristi and Rich on your engagement! We are beyond excited and cannot wait to capture more memories at your wedding at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in July 2022.
